The Brazilian government conducts one of the largest extinction risk assessments in the world, covering more than 15,000 species of fauna and 9,000 species of flora. This effort contributes to identifying more than 5,000 threatened species, highlighting the urgency of conservation actions. However, identifying threatened species is only the first step. To reverse this scenario, it is essential to implement effective strategies that promote the preservation and recovery of these species. In this context, several Brazilian initiatives have been developed, such as the National Action Plans, which establish specific goals and actions to protect endangered species, and the Impact Reduction Plans, aimed at mitigating the factors that threaten biodiversity. These actions represent a coordinated effort to ensure the conservation of Brazilian fauna and flora, promoting the balance of ecosystems and the sustainable development of the country.Partenaires
