China's Natural World Heritage, Mixed World Heritage, and Scenic Sites: Safeguarding Lucid Waters and Lush Mountains, Sharing an Ecological Civilization.
Description de la séance
This side event will focus on the significant milestone of the 20th anniversary of the proposition of "Lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets" (abbreviated as the "Two Mountains Theory"). It will delve into China's practices and global contributions in safeguarding lucid waters and lush mountains and sharing ecological civilization through its natural world heritage sites, cultural and natural world heritage sites, as well as scenic sites. As the most distinctive component of China's "Super 6 + 1" natural park system, scenic sites not only embody rich natural and cultural values but also serve as vivid examples of China's commitment to implementing the Two Mountains Theory and promoting green development. This side event will share the protection policies, successful cases, and international collaboration experiences implemented by China in these fields, showcasing the country's global achievements in nature conservation and sustainable development.Partenaires
