Pourquoi participer
This training session is designed for those eager to learn about and explore Nature-based Solutions (NbS) and the updated Global Standard for NbS. Participants will also learn to effectively use the Self-Assessment Tool for planning, implementing, and assessing NbS interventions.
Description de la séance
In this two hour hands-on workshop, participants will be introduced to the updated version of the Global Standard for Nature-based Solutions (NbS) and learn about its 8 criteria and 28 indicators, and how to implement its Self-Assessment Tool (SAT). Participants will first engage with and learn from experts involved in the development of the updated Global Standard for NbS and its implementation in real-world case studies. Then they will be divided into groups of 5-10 people from diverse backgrounds, and they will be trained to use the SAT and the NbS Global Standard’s 8 criteria and 28 indicators and their guiding questions to assess NbS interventions. Examples from diverse geographic and socio-ecological contexts will then also be used to illustrate how these criteria and indicators can be assessed by users in different contexts.Speaker
