Pourquoi participer

Il est crucial de comprendre comment la convergence de la criminalité environnementale avec d’autres formes de criminalité transnationale organisée représente une menace croissante et urgente pour les efforts mondiaux de conservation.

Description de la séance

The increasing convergence of environmental crime with other forms of transnational organized crime presents a growing and urgent threat to global conservation efforts. The illicit exploitation of natural resources—ranging from wildlife trafficking and illegal fishing to deforestation and unregulated mining—is no longer isolated but deeply intertwined with broader criminal networks engaged in money laundering, drug trafficking, arms smuggling, and corruption. As Earth League International (ELI) has documented through extensive field investigations and intelligence gathering, these interconnected criminal economies undermine governance, fuel violence, and destabilize communities, exacerbating the environmental crisis and weakening enforcement efforts.
