As momentum builds for “Nature Positive” outcomes, clarity is urgently needed on what constitutes a credible claim. This session will explore the different dimensions of Nature Positive claims that need to be factored into a practical claims and recognition typology, building on a review by consultants and input from various partners. Moving beyond lessons learned, this session will explore claims from the perspectives of different actors, and will delve into challenging issues such as multiple actors working in landscapes, time lags and the regulatory and assurability environment. Participants will be invited to discuss these elements, identify risks, gaps, and opportunities for further alignment. This is the start of a collaborative process toward robust and responsible demonstrations of nature positive outcomes.
