Biographie
Mr Mishra is an Advocate in the Supreme Court of India and is also a Door Tenant at No5 Barristers’ Chambers in the United Kingdom. He is currently the leading Disputes and Climate Change lawyer of India. Few of his works are highlighted below:
- Mr. Mishra has been engaged by Supreme Court's Central Public Works Department to argue an IA for the project titled 'Expansion of Supreme Court building for creating additional court rooms including constitutional court, chambers for the judges and facilities for lawyers & litigants' in the matter titled, 'Bhavreen Kandhari Vs. Shri C D Singh & Ors.' pending before the Hon’ble Delhi High Court in January, 2025.
- He has been appointed as Amicus Curiae by the Supreme Court of India in the matter titled Ridhima Pandey v. Union of India (Civil Appeal No. 388 of 2021), which pertains to the impact of carbon emissions on the environment and necessitates an examination of the legal regime regulating such emissions in December, 2024.
- He was awarded the prestigious International Visitors Leadership Programme (IVLP) by the US Government for his exemplary contribution and work in the field of Environment in the year 2005. He was appointed as the India Coordinator and CoChair, New Delhi of the International Section of the New York State Bar Association for the year 2011-2012.
- He was felicitated twice by the House of Lords in United Kingdom and was honoured with the First ever ‘Guardians of Sustainability Award’ as well as ‘Environmental Lawyer of the Year Award 2022’.
- Mr. Mishra also heads the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII)- Chair of the CII Sub-Committee on ESG and Climate Change and is also the Chairperson of the Environment and Climate Change Committee, Society of Indian Law Firms, India.
- Mr. Mishra regularly writes on key aspects of law, including Disputes, Environment and Climate Change for leading media publications including Hindustan Times, The Hindu, Bar & Bench, Panchjanya, BW Businessworld, Sunday Guardian, etc.
