Biographie

I'm an indigenous Fijian, interdisciplinary marine social scientist who has worked in my home country (Fiji), the Indo-Pacific as part of the Locally Managed Marine Area (LMMA) network, and in Hawai'i. I am interested in the human dimensions of place-based resource management approaches of indigenous peoples and local communities (IPLCs) with a focus on culturally protected area practices, traditional ecological knowledge. biodiversity and socioeconomic assessments.
