SUDHA KHADKA

Biographie

Sudha Khadka is the Country Director of RECOFTC Nepal, where she leads a diverse country program portfolio. With over 20 years of experience in community-based natural resource management and sustainable development, she is a strong advocate and practitioner of natural resource governance, gender equality and social inclusion, and landscape approaches. Her primary focus is on strengthening participatory governance systems that ensure equitable benefit sharing and amplify the voices of women, Indigenous Peoples and local communities to achieve both environmental sustainability and social equity. She has led bilateral projects and multi-stakeholder initiatives that bring together Indigenous Peoples, policymakers, researchers, and the private sector to address biodiversity conservation, food security and sustainable livelihoods across complex landscapes. Her work emphasizes integration of traditional ecological knowledge, and stronger science–policy–practice linkages in conservation and climate action.
