I am the founder and Director of Bluedot. He is an international marine biodiversity advisor with 27+ years' international experience. I have been resident as a working marine scientist in the UK, Hong Kong and Oman; and has worked on projects in 55 countries across Africa, Middle East, Europe, Northern Asia, Southeast Asia, South Asia and Australasia.
My focus is on addressing marine biodiversity risks at the site- and corporate-level; and helping organisations to deliver a net positive impact. I am also very experienced in delivering capacity building, research and conservation.
My focus is on helping corporations to develop biodiversity strategies and marine net gain approaches. I have been engaged globally on delivering assessments for high-profile projects financed by various IFIs in line with safeguard standards, including IFC PS6. I have provided advice across a wide range of sectors globally with a focus on marine renewable energy (offshore wind, tidal, wave, floating solar), green and brown-field ports and shipping, oil and gas, and a broad spectrum of coastal hinterland developments.
