Nina ATTIAS

Biographie

Nina is a Program Manager at the Wildlife Conservation Network (WCN), where she leads the Rising Wildlife Leaders Amazonia Program. She is passionate about animal conservation, with a special appreciation for armadillos. Her career combines informal education and capacity building for conservationists. Born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Nina has a Bachelor’s and a teaching degree in Biology, in addition to a Master's and a Ph.D. in Ecology and Conservation. With almost 20 years of experience in ecological studies and conservation initiatives, Nina has worked in most Brazilian biomes. Before joining WCN, she acted as the Scientific Coordinator of the Instituto de Conservação de Animais Silvestres (ICAS), where she helped bridging academic research and conservation practice, and also developed training programs for future conservationists.
