This event brings together emerging leaders from IUCN expert Commissions to showcase the diverse contributions of young professionals in advancing conservation action at the local and global levels. In a storytelling fashion, speakers will reflect on their experiences with IUCN motions, protected areas, climate action, education, communication, and species conservation, offering unique perspectives on how young professionals are contributing to achieving the Nature 2030 IUCN Programme. From fostering protected area stewardship to empowering youth in decision-making processes, the session underscores the importance of meaningful engagement and capacity-building. Participants will gain insights into how youth-led initiatives strengthen the implementation of IUCN’s mission, build intergenerational partnerships, and drive innovation across regions.Speaker
