Description de la séance
This session creates a unique space for dialogue between African youth, civil society, and institutional leaders around biodiversity and marine protected areas (MPAs). It begins with authentic audio testimonies from young people aged 10 to 35 across six African countries, sharing their hopes, challenges, and visions for the future. A dynamic panel brings together youth representatives and decision-makers to foster mutual listening and responsibility. The event culminates in a collective commitment exercise, where participants co-create a youth roadmap for biodiversity, symbolically represented through an “Arbre du Vivant” (Tree of Life). This session highlights the urgency of equipping the next generation with tools and recognition, ensuring their voices shape environmental governance. It is an opportunity to connect, commit, and support a continental youth movement towards the 2025 Marine Protected Areas Congress in Senegal and beyondOrganised by
