Aimé Joseph NIANOGO

Biographie

After studying in Burkina Faso and the United States, Prof. Nianogo began his career in 1982 as a teacher-researcher; since then he has successively held several positions of responsibility, in higher education and research, before joining IUCN as Head of Mission for Burkina Faso in July 2000. He was then appointed as IUCN Regional Director for Central and West Africa. After early retirement, he returned to Nazi Boni University in 2017, then to Saint Thomas Aquinas University in 2024. Mr. Nianogo. In February 2025, he returned to the same position as Regional Director of IUCN-PACO based in Dakar. Prof. Nianogo is the author of more than 100 publications on agricultural and livestock production and biodiversity conservation.
