Hori Orlando Salanic Xec, Guatemalan, K'iche Maya indigenous people. I have a degree in Social Work. For the past 15 years, I have worked for territorial development for Indigenous peoples and local communities in western Guatemala. I am currently the Executive Director of the Association for Sustainable Development (SINERGIAS). I have experience in community, municipal, and departmental dialogue processes, as well as in national and regional dialogues platforms. In recent years, I have worked on forestry and cultural development projects for climate change adaptation.
