Simangele MSWELI

Biographie

Simangele is a conservationist with an interest and experience in environmental education, community engagement, research and policy development. At AWF, Simangele serves as the Associate Director, Conservation Education and Youth Leadership, where she manages and oversees AWF’s engaging children and youth program. This role includes implementing bespoke leadership programs for young professionals (such as the AWF-Wall Youth Leadership Program), championing conservation education for school going children, supporting youth networks in advocacy, organizational development and project implementation efforts  as well as contributing to the organization's engagement in biodiversity governance processes such as the Africa Ministerial Conference on the Environment (AMCEN), Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD), and Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES).
