I bring extensive experience in conservation leadership, governance, and policy development, aligning with the competencies required for a Regional Councillor. Leadership & Governance: As President of Para La Naturaleza and former President of the IUCN Caribbean Regional Committee, I have led conservation initiatives, strengthened governance frameworks, and built cross-sector partnerships to advance regional goals. Representation & Advocacy: As Vice President of the IUCN Caribbean Regional Council, I have represented Caribbean interests in global conservation discussions, ensuring regional priorities are integrated into IUCN strategies. I have also served on the National Trust for Historic Preservation and the Land Trust Alliance boards, contributing to international policy development and advocacy. Engagement & Capacity Building: I have facilitated dialogue among IUCN members, commissions, and regional offices, promoting collaboration and knowledge-sharing. My leadership in reforestation, habitat restoration, and land conservation has strengthened community engagement and institutional capacity.
