With over two decades of experience in conservation science, policy, and governance, I possess the expertise and leadership required for the role of Regional Councillor for Africa. As Director Adjunct of the Laboratory of Ecology and Ecotoxicology at the University of Lomé, I have led research and training programs that address biodiversity conservation, sustainable resource management, and climate resilience. My role as National Focal Point for the UNESCO Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission and Coordinator of the CITES Scientific Authority in Togo has strengthened my ability to bridge science, policy, and community action. I have extensive experience engaging governments, NGOs, and local communities to implement regional conservation strategies. As an active member of the IUCN Species Survival Commission (Marines Turtles, Amphibians, Crocodiles, Freshwater and Terrestrial Tortoises) and expert evaluator for the Green List of Protected Areas, I contribute to international conservation governance. My experience in fundraising and securing project financing equips me to support IUCN Members in accessing funding for conservation initiatives. I am committed to equity, youth engagement, and gender mainstreaming, ensuring inclusive decision-making. My strategic vision, leadership, and deep knowledge of the region’s conservation challenges will enable me to effectively represent and support IUCN’s mission at the regional and global levels.

I have extensive experience in biodiversity conservation, ecosystem management, and environmental governance.
