Raghida HADDAD

Raghida Haddad (facilitator) is Editor-in-Chief of SPNL’s biannual Al Hima Magazine, describing it as “a gift to Arab environmentalists, delivering SPNL’s mission to preserve nature by establishing a Hima, i.e., a protected area, in every village and town in every Arab country.” She was the Executive Editor of Al-Bia Wal-Tanmia (Environment and Development) pan-Arab magazine. She is a consultant and university lecturer on environmental information and in science journalism, and editor/co-author of several environmental books, reports and manuals. Raghida Haddad was presented the Earth Journalism Award during COP15 in Copenhagen for her two-week journey to the Arctic, covering the international scientific expedition onboard the Canadian research icebreaker Amundsen.
