Pourquoi participer

In this session, youth will learn how to enter and have positive experiences within the green sector, while employers will learn how they can support youth and inspire more job seekers to enter green careers.

Description de la séance

As we grapple with environmental challenges like climate change, biodiversity loss and increased demands for resources, new and different jobs will be created to transition to a more sustainable world. This session discusses how youth today and future generations can enter the green jobs sector and contribute to long lasting positive effects on themselves, society and the environment. Project Learning Tree Canada defines green jobs as any job that supports nature-based solutions for a more sustainable planet, this includes careers that people don’t necessarily think of as green, such as Policy Advisor, Researcher, Community Outreach Specialist, Social Media Coordinator, Sales, Accounting, and HR. The session will provide networking tips and tricks for both job seekers and employers, resources for career and skill development, guidance for supporting youth, and an engaging activity on personal elevator pitches that can be used at the conference and beyond.
