Description de la séance
Working under extreme pressure in remote and often dangerous environments with limited support and recognition takes a significant toll on the mental health of those on the frontlines of conservation. Mental health challenges remain largely overlooked in global conservation discourse. This session, organised by the International Ranger Federation (IRF), Universal Ranger Support Alliance (URSA), WCPA, The Royal Foundation, and other partners, will begin with expert insights into mental health and its relevance to ranger work. Case studies from diverse regions will provide personal perspectives that bring the human dimension of these issues to light. The session will then open for plenary discussion, concluding with concrete next steps to address these needs.Speaker
