You will be introduced to everything you need to know about how protected area can be part of the solution to climate change, and how you, as a decision-makers and practitioners, can enhance the value of a protected area to offset GHG emissions.

Description de la séance

A presentation on the highlights of the new IUCN technical report, Enhancing Climate Change Mitigation in Protected Areas, will be presented. Participants will be introduced to the 26 case studies accompanying this report and encouraged, through facilitation, to share to their own work on assessing and enhancing climate change mitigation in protected and conserved areas. Input from participants will be documented and it is our intention, funding permitting, to grow the list of case studies.
