Pourquoi participer

Bringing together distinguished speakers from various sectors, the event will highlight not only what has been achieved but also how these efforts can be further advanced—through greater resource mobilization, stronger partnerships, and more coherent global and national policies—to ensure that primary forests receive the protection and recognition they critically deserve.

Description de la séance

This event will convene stakeholders and decision-makers from governments, multilateral finance institutions, civil society, academia, and UN agencies to advance the global dialogue on the conservation of primary forests. Building on the urgent need for greater prioritization, stronger policy coherence, and increased financing highlighted in the background, the session will examine how international and national actors are already responding to these needs.
