Participants will interact with regional observatory tools through live demonstrations, followed by a moderated dialogue exploring real-world applications of data in conservation decision-making.
Description de la séance
This pavilion event will highlight how the BIOPAMA programme and its partners have advanced data and knowledge management to support better biodiversity conservation decisions. Featuring regional observatories (ROs) from the ACP, the event will explore innovations in technology, data platforms, and information-sharing systems that have improved transparency, accountability, and policy alignment. Discussions will focus on lessons learned, key recommendations, and the enabling policy environments needed to sustain these efforts. Emphasis will be placed on how government agencies, NGOs, and local stakeholders are using these tools to strengthen the management of protected and conserved areas. The session will also address the importance of building technical capacity to ensure long-term success in integrating data into conservation planning and decision-making processes.Organised by
