Rangelands refer to natural ecosystems dominated by grasses, shrubs, and scattered trees, used primarily for grazing livestock. Rangelands in Arab countries are a critical ecological and socio-economic resource, especially in arid and semi-arid regions where they cover vast areas. In Arab countries, rangelands cover 70–80% of land area. Sharing best practices on rangeland management in arid ecosystems is critically important for several environmental, social, and economic reasons. This session aims to highlight participatory and innovative approaches for enhancing the resilience of drylands in the Arab region, while also promoting the exchange of best practices and lessons learned in sustainable rangeland management among countries.Organised by
