Description de la séance

The Species Information Service (SIS) is the backbone of the IUCN Red List, enabling assessors, reviewers, Red List Authorities and the Red List Unit to compile and publish extinction risk assessments. This session introduces the next-generation of SIS—designed to enhance data quality and streamline workflows, while continuing to support National Red Lists. SIS is crucial for achieving the goals defined in the IUCN Red List Strategic Plan (2021–2030), including assessing 260,000 species and reassessing 142,000 by 2030. Join us to discover how this future-ready platform will empower conservation decision-making and global biodiversity monitoring.
