Description de la séance

As part of its contribution to the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment’s (MOCCAE) “Plant the Emirates” initiative, the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) launched a dedicated SDG research program for undergraduate students. In the last cycle, UAEU funded 27 student-led research projects focused on climate action, sustainability, and environmental innovation.
These projects are set to conclude in September, and their outcomes will be showcased through a “3-Minute Project Competition.” Shortlisted students will deliver concise, impactful presentations before a judging panel composed of representatives from MOCCAE, the Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi (EAD), and UAEU.
This initiative not only enhances students’ research and communication skills but also strengthens the link between academic research and national climate priorities. By empowering youth to engage in real-world problem-solving, UAEU reinforces its role in advancing the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and supporting the UAE’s vision for a greener future.
