Dr. Javkhlan Ariunbaatar is a development and environmental strategist advancing sustainable development and biodiversity conservation in Mongolia and internationally, with expertise in conservation finance, community-led conservation, protected area management, environmental impact assessment, and pollution prevention/reduction. She has served in leadership and advisory roles with UNDP, FAO, GIZ, The Nature Conservancy, Wildlife Conservation Society, academia, and the private sector - mobilizing resources, shaping national policy frameworks, and forging partnerships that bridge governments, communities, and business. Her work centers on advancing biodiversity finance, strengthening strategic management, and empowering local stewardship. She holds a PhD in Environmental Technology, a Master’s in Public Administration, and a MSc in Environmental Engineering.
