Machel DONEGAN

Biographie

As the Operations Manager of the Alligator Head Foundation (AHF), Machel is responsible for
its daily operations including the management its livelihood diversification programmes and all
grant projects implemented by the AHF. He has worked in the environmental sector for over
twenty years guiding the development and implementation of projects funded by both
international and local donors to include USAID, the Global Environment Facility, The Nature
Conservancy, The Canadian Green Fund and the Environmental Foundation of Jamaica. Machel
holds a B.Sc. in Geography and a Certificate in Project Management from the University of the
West Indies. He previously served the Chief Executive Officer of the Portland Environment
Protection Association (PEPA). He has advanced training in facilitation and community
animation. Machel is a passionate advocate for community based development and has served
as the President of the Portland Parish Development Committee and sits on the Board of several
CBOs in the parish of Portland, Jamaica.
