Come to this session to explore how civil society, governments and companies view nature positive, and how they can contribute to the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework. We will give a preliminary view of IUCN's RHINO approach to Nature Positive as a means to deliver quantified contributions to the KMGBF.
Description de la séance
Delivery of the Post-2020 Global Biodiversity Framework is essential to maintaining the future of biodiversity on earth- and contributions need to come from across society. However, companies have not hitherto had a means to identify and deliver contributions. IUCN's approach to identifying and delivering rapid, verifiable and significant contributions to Nature Positive was opened to Union-wide consultation in November 2023. It has now been substantially uprated and transformed into an interactive, automated web interface. A pilot version of this portal will be demonstrated at the session, and interventions from Union members and private sector partners will explore how the approach facilitates Nature Positive contributions to the Post-2020 Global Biodiversity Framework, by companies across a range of sectors, how these contributions relate to emerging reporting and disclosure standards, and how contributions can be generated by many more companies.Keynote speaker
