Description de la séance

The 100% Alliance is a global campaign that calls on all ocean and coastal states to commit to sustainably manage 100% of their national waters, complementing global efforts towards 30x30. This session will showcase how Sustainable Ocean Plans (SOPs) can support delivery of this ambition while aligning with global targets to achieve countries’ climate, biodiversity, and economic objectives. Through an engaging mix of storytelling, case studies, and interactive discussions, participants will: - Explore how SOPs support national and regional ocean governance. - Learn about successful implementation from countries leading in sustainable ocean management. - Engage in a dialogue to identify pathways for nations, NGOs, and stakeholders to support and scale SOPs globally. Attendees will take away practical knowledge on how to implement and contribute to the development of SOPs to ensure a more holistic approach to ocean management that benefits people, nature and the economy.
