Matt FROST

Biography

Professor Matt Frost is Head of the International Office at Plymouth Marine Laboratory. A senior leader with over 25 years’ experience, he works extensively on international matters specialising in international policy, networking and science diplomacy. Matt has worked with a wide range of international bodies including the United Nations, embassies and NGOs and led on the establishment of bi-lateral and multi-lateral partnerships and programs of work between various countries. Matt is co-Lead for the Ocean Panel Expert Group, High-Level Panel for a Sustainable Ocean Economy and Chairs the UK National (Ocean) Decade Committee and the World Association of Marine Stations (WAMS) among others. Matt has a marine science background - his first degree and PhD are in marine biology and he has published over 160 journal papers, book chapters, policy briefs, reports and articles.
