Visa Information for the UAE
It is the responsibility of each Congress participant to investigate the visa requirements for the UAE and apply for a visa if necessary. Participants are strongly encouraged to apply for their visas as early as possible, ideally no later than 90 days before the event. Please note that there is no automatic entitlement to a UAE visa.
Entry Requirements by Nationality
- Nationals from Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries – no visa is required to enter the UAE.
Other nationalities – please check if a visa is required by visiting the UAE government’s official visa information page

Visa fees vary depending on the type of visa and applicable processing fees. Ensure you review the details on the official page or contact your nearest UAE embassy or consulate for specific pricing and documentation requirements.
In most cases, applicants must submit visa applications, along with the necessary documents, in person at the UAE embassy or consulate responsible for their place of residence. You can find the appropriate location for submitting your application through the UAE embassy or consulate in your country. Participants of the IUCN World Conservation Congress 2025 will have the option to request a Visa Invitation Letter while completing the online registration form to facilitate their entry into the UAE for attendance to the Congress.
