The Global Biodiversity Framework estimates the global biodiversity finance gap at USD 700 billion per year and calls to increase financial resources from all sources. This session aims to provide an opportunity to learn about crowdfunding as an option to mobilize funds for conservation efforts. The session will enhance knowledge based on inputs from: - Crowdfunding campaigns supported by UNDP’s Biodiversity Finance Initiative (BIOFIN) and UNDP Crowdfunding Academy; - Crowdfunding experiences shared on PANORAMA – Solutions for a Healthy Planet platform, and - Local NGOs. The session aims to enhance knowledge in organizing crowdfunding campaigns for conservation efforts through guided exercises and knowledge exchange with various stakeholders including academia, conservation practitioners, young professionals and international organizations.Organised by
