Description de la séance

Businesses play a critical role in shaping land use, infrastructure, and value chains, and increasingly seek credible ways to mitigate impacts, meet ESG commitments, and invest in sustainable practices. Achieving Nature Positive outcomes requires more than ambition—it demands integration of science, policy, and practice, supported by cross-sector collaboration. As corporate and government commitments to biodiversity grow, so does the need for clear guidance, tools, and cross-sector alignment on how to implement effective mitigation measures, including impact avoidance, restoration, and—where feasible and appropriate—biodiversity offsetting. This session, Designing a Nature Positive Future: Converging Perspectives across Business and Science, brings together leaders from business, science, and policy to explore how sectors interpret and contribute to Nature Positive, No Net Loss, and Net Gain strategies. By surfacing diverse expectations and challenges, the dialogue will identify convergence points and actionable steps to co-design credible approaches that align business action with global biodiversity goals.
