Description de la séance
This panel, co-hosted with the UAE government, will highlight how nature-based education equips children and youth to protect biodiversity and shape a sustainable future. Five youth speakers from diverse regions will share their lived experiences in innovative programs that connect learning to land, water, and ecosystems. They will provide candid reflections on what worked, what didn’t, and why. They will ground the dialogue in authentic child perspectives. The session will also explore “blue-sky thinking”, where youth imagine their ideal biodiversity-focused education systems: what subjects should include, how schools could connect more deeply to nature, and which benchmarks would show real impact on learners and communities. Intergenerational respondents will link these youth insights to policy and practice, positioning education as a vital driver for biodiversity conservation and global sustainability goals.Speaker
