Pourquoi participer

By showcasing the WALD Innovation Facility—an initiative designed to link private finance with high-impact carbon crediting projects—the session will provide valuable insights into how businesses can align climate commitments with tangible action on the ground, playing a pivotal role in advancing global climate goals under Article 6.

Description de la séance

Unlocking private sector investment is essential for delivering the goals of climate mitigation and nature conservation under Article 6 of the Paris Agreement. The session will showcase the WALD Innovation Facility, a catalytic initiative, implemented by IUCN and funded by BMZ through KfW, that connects private finance with transformative carbon crediting projects that protect biodiversity and uplift local communities. The discussion will focus on how the private sector can leverage the Facility to meet climate commitments, drive innovation in carbon market solutions, and support projects delivering both significant emissions reductions and meaningful social co-benefits.
