Description de la séance

Africa’s oceans hold extraordinary promise: sustaining millions of livelihoods, regulating climate, and hosting biodiversity of planetary value. The Regenerative Blue Economy (RBE) is Africa’s counter-offer—a radical shift from short-term extraction to rebuilding oceans as engines of innovation, sovereignty, and dignity. This vision means regenerating ecosystems, redistributing value, and repositioning Africa from the margins of global trade to the center of climate and economic negotiations.

The Ambitions Lab at the Africa Pavilion, World Conservation Congress, is a platform to define bold ideas and partnerships shaping ocean transformation over the next decade. Leaders and innovators will present Africa’s new vision: launching a New Partnership for a Regenerative Blue Economy; establishing the world’s first Blue Economy R&D Facility; scaling 1000 Ocean Startups Africa; positioning blue foods in Africa’s nutrition agenda; and embedding oceans into the AfCFTA. Together, these ambitions anchor Africa as the global hub for regenerative ocean economies.
