Pourquoi participer

This session explores integrated approaches for transformative change in food systems and urbanization, featuring insights from GEF programs. Participants will learn to identify transformation levers, monitor progress, and collaborate across sectors to co-create nature-positive, low-carbon solutions through an interactive format.

Description de la séance

Food systems and urbanization are major contributors to biodiversity loss, greenhouse gas emissions, and resource degradation. To meet global environmental commitments, countries need integrated approaches that connect multiple stakeholders, strengthen policy coherence, and foster synergies across scales. This session will draw on experiences from the GEF’s food systems and sustainable cities programs, combining case study presentations with interactive exchanges. Together, participants will unpack the complexities of integrated programming, explore underlying principles for effective design and delivery, and discuss tools and metrics for tracking systemic change. The session will highlight concrete entry points and lessons learned to advance transformative change in food and urban systems.
