The session will focus on setting context about the funding landscape for youth-led socio-environmental initiatives, the challenges and barriers youth face in accessing funding, and how they can overcome them.
Descripción de la sesión
As resource limits are overshot, species are lost and marginalized communities are disproportionately affected, community-based young leaders continue to lead the charge to protect vital ecosystems which are the lifeblood of their communities - often with little to no funding. This session aims to center young conservation leaders in the discussion about accessing funding for their crucial work. It is led by the Youth Climate Justice Fund (YCJF) - a global youth-led fund dedicated to supporting youth-led, socio-environmental initiatives through participatory grantmaking and capacity strengthening. At the end, it will feature a Q&A to share rich insights for the future of youth in conservation.Speaker
