This interactive workshop will highlight how UNESCO’s Greening Education Partnership (GEP) facilitates nature-based education for conservation and sustainability. Explore GEP’s four pillars, Greening Schools, Greening Curriculum, Greening Teacher Training, and Greening Communities and gain valuable insights into how each supports climate action, biodiversity protection and inclusive governance. The workshop highlights UNESCO’s role in co-developing global education frameworks such as Ecosystem Restoration Education (ERE) and showcases FEE’s on-the-ground education programmes such as Eco-Schools, offering practical tools that bridge policy and practice. Collaborate with fellow participants to create actionable plans focused on implementing key GEP concepts suited to local contexts and in alignment with the UN Decade on Restoration.
