The panel “Guardians, Leaders, and Healers: Exploring Gender in Indigenous Knowledge Systems” will bring together Indigenous women from different regions of the world to share their lived experiences, wisdom, and leadership. Rooted in ancestral knowledge systems, the discussion will highlight the diverse roles that Indigenous women hold as protectors of land, water, and biodiversity; as community leaders shaping governance and resilience; and as healers safeguarding holistic wellbeing and cultural continuity. By exploring the intersection of gender and traditional knowledge, this dialogue will not only celebrate the contributions of Indigenous women but also reflect on the challenges they face and the opportunities to strengthen their voices in global conversations on sustainability and justice.Speaker
