Por qué asistir
Given the clear funding gap for the conservation of Nature, this session will provide participants with the opportunity to help shape future conservation philanthropy as a diverse yet carefully considered means to help address that shortfall. Information gathered from this session will help guide conservation philanthropy.
Descripción de la sesión
This session would last 2 hours with participants divided evenly across 5 tables, each of which would have an assigned moderator and rapporteur. The organisers would invite relevant participants known to be attending Congress.
• Introductions to the overall issue, and definition of conservation and philanthropy for the context of this session.
• Series of roundtables each with a moderator, for each of five conservation philanthropy topics. Rotation of participants every quarter hour. Roundtable discussion on the priorities mentioned by the moderators – add to them if suggested.
• Afterwards have a “plenary” for everyone to score 1-10 the importance of each of the final priorities identified, with the understanding that there has to be a range – not everything can be 10. Two scores for each - current scenario and ideal future
• Results collated depending on whether “donor” or “practitioner”.
