Laurel MCIVOR

Biografía

Laurel McIvor works for the Parks Canada Conservation Strategy Branch as a Program Advisor for Intergovernmental Collaborations team. She liaises and collaborates with Canadian and international conservation partners to showcase and support Canadian and Parks Canada’s conservation efforts initiatives.

Laurel combines extensive experience in environmental education and exhibition development with a broad background in ecology, sustainability and community building. While her career path has been divided between museums, botanical gardens and parks, she’s recently returned to work with Parks Canada and to apply her experience to supporting conservation policy. Aside from work, Laurel is an avid kayaker, hiker, knitter and vegetable gardener. She is passionate about nature, loves learning from other people and continually strives to live more sustainably.
