Descripción de la sesión

Birds are beautiful ambassadors of conservation and powerful indicators of planetary health. As the proverbial “canary in the coal mine,” their sharp population declines are a clear warning of the escalating climate and biodiversity crises. But there is hope: the same solutions that protect birds also help people and our planet thrive.

Join experts from the National Audubon Society and partners for a dynamic conversation grounded in cutting-edge science. Building on Audubon’s landmark Survival by Degrees report — which revealed how climate change threatens two-thirds of North American bird species — a forthcoming study expands this research across Latin America, spotlighting vulnerable forest birds and the ecosystems they depend on.
