Descripción de la sesión

This session will examine progress, gaps, and opportunities to strengthen protected and conserved areas across 10 regions in support of Target 3 of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework, with a particular focus on Latina America and the Caribbean. It will draw on key insights from ten regional capacity-building workshops co-organized by the CBD, WCPA, and HAC N&P which convened over 600 participants from 79 countries. The event will highlight the challenges and shared solutions emerging across countries. Concrete examples from the Americas on how those regional workshops impact national implementation of the Target 3 will be provided. Country representatives will also discuss strategic directions for capacity building to accelerate progress toward the 30x30 target.
