Laura SONTER

Dr Laura Sonter is Technical Director for Science and Policy at The Biodiversity Consultancy and an Adjunct Associate Professor at The University of Queensland. With over 15 years’ experience at the interface of science, policy, and practice, she specialises in helping businesses and financial institutions advance their Nature Positive strategies. Laura has published widely in the academic literature and contributes regularly to global policy processes, including as a Coordinating Lead Author for IPBES. She advises leading industry organisations on biodiversity and nature-related risk, and brings practical experience from biodiversity projects in Australia, Brazil, and elsewhere.
