Luciano Régis Cardoso

Biographie

Luciano Régis Cardoso is a biologist, geographer and has a master's degree in Protected Areas. As a protected area manager, he addressed territorial management and governance processes on two occasions in Minas Gerais, Brazil. He has also worked as a volunteer in protected areas in Brazil, Peru and Portugal and has conducted studies in Ireland and Spain. Luciano currently works as a Participatory Management Analyst at the Mamirauá Sustainable Development Institute, working with capacity building in local and indigenous communities in the Central Amazon. He is a founding member of the Young Leaders in Protected and Conserved Areas of Latin America and the Caribbean Network - Rellac-Jovenes, a honorary member of the ICCA Consortium, member of the Group of Experts of the Green List in Brazil, member of International Association for the Study of the Commons and a researcher in the research group Collaborative Conservation in Protected Areas: a new management paradigm at the University of São Paulo.
