VANESSA ROBITZCH

Biographie

Vanessa Robitzch (PhD) est biologiste marine, spécialisée en écologie des récifs coralliens, en génétique des populations et en conservation. Elle dirige actuellement le programme de conservation à l’Organisation générale pour la conservation des récifs coralliens et des tortues en mer Rouge (SHAMS), où elle mène des initiatives de mobilisation communautaire. Ses recherches combinent des données écologiques, biologiques et génétiques afin de comprendre la distribution des espèces, leur connectivité et leur résilience face au changement climatique, avec des études menées des Caraïbes et de l’Antarctique jusqu’à l’Indo-Pacifique et la mer Rouge. Née sur l’île de San Andrés (Colombie), Vanessa a étudié en Allemagne (B.Sc., M.Sc., ISATEC), a obtenu son doctorat à KAUST, et a travaillé au Chili et en Arabie saoudite, apportant une perspective mondiale à la science, aux politiques et à la conservation des récifs.
