Why attend

Join a thought-provoking conversation with the director and producer of the award-winning film "Treasure of the Caribbean", alongside conservation experts. Together, they will share behind-the-scenes insights, unveil the way they are protecting the Cayman Crown, and provide solutions and ways we can all contribute to safeguarding our blue planet.

Session Description

Following the screening of "Treasure of the Caribbean", join us for a panel discussion that brings the film's story to life through the voices of those closest to it. The film's director and a local protagonist will share their firsthand experiences of discovering, exploring, documenting and protecting this remarkably resilient coral reef in the heart of the Caribbean. The panel will highlight the challenges faced, the lessons learned, and the hope that emerges when diverse stakeholders unite around conservation. Audiences will gain unique insights into the power of unlikely partnerships, the importance of (literally) listening to the ocean, and the collective effort needed to protect coral reefs and the species that inhabitant them. This conversation invites us all to imagine a more sustainable relationship with the sea –one rooted in respect, resilience and shared responsibility. Come ready to be moved, enlightened, and inspired to take action for the ocean's future.
