Pourquoi participer

Mesoamerica demonstrates that conservation transcends borders. Together, countries, communities, and organizations protect shared biodiversity and territories, promoting collective dreams and fostering cross-learning. The audience will participate in a dynamic and strategic session that will allow them to identify common challenges, map key actors, and explore mechanisms for regional collaboration.

Description de la séance

This session will bring together representatives from IUCN member organizations in six Mesoamerican countries (Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Costa Rica, and Panama), who will share dynamic experiences on binational and multinational cooperation, specifically on cross-border biological corridors and institutional strengthening initiatives. On the one hand, we will illustrate how collaboration between countries strengthens ecological connectivity, biodiversity conservation, and socio-environmental resilience. On the other hand, we will delve into the role our organizations play as vehicles for innovation, flexible financing, and the implementation of sustainable and inclusive solutions. The space will foster long-term partnerships between local, national, and regional levels, consolidating networks and strengthening cooperation mechanisms for the benefit of nature and communities. An opportunity to learn from a Mesoamerica that connects, conserves, and cooperates.
